Coding & AI Camp

In this super cool camp, students will be introduced to the fast-growing field of AI as our world moves toward increased automation not only in the industry but also in homes. Kids as young as 6 years old can start learning how to code using blocks and be introduced to building blocks of both software and hardware such as input sensors, microcontrollers and output devices. Students will work in teams to build robot arms, robot cars, trucks, various figures, and other gadgets that are often used in automation. They’ll get a chance to build various electronic devices using sensors, DC motors, and more. Our camp inspires kids to develop a passion for engineering with a fun-filled, hands-on curriculum while enabling students to gain a tangible understanding of artificial intelligence and problem-solving/critical thinking skills. Your child will look forward to each class to play with gadgets that they designed, built, and programmed! If time permits, we'll dive into the world of VR and program a virtual robot that can navigate mazes, using VEXcode VR. Students will learn important concepts such as loops, conditions, object oriented programming, and more. As students explore different coding programs this summer with our tech experts, they'll be ready to extend their pathway to learning Python and C++ in no time! There’s no better way to dive into the exciting world of CODING & AI !

Drone Engineering

If you've taken our Drones intro course before and love it, you'll be ecstatic about this class. In this more in-depth and intense drones class, students will work in teams to design and build real drones that will fly sky high! Our Drones camp uses Rotor Riot Drone Education Program which combines a breadth of STEM concepts in one exciting experience! Students will construct, configure, and pilot high performance FPV (First Person View) drones. They'll be introduced to the building blocks of electronics such as simple electrical circuitry, input sensors, microcontrollers and output devices. Teams will work together to choose and design the frame of their drone, what materials to use, what features to include as well as taking into consideration the size and weight of their drone for optimal performance. We will build, test, make improvements and rebuild until teams are satisfied with their drone's performance. This unique camp inspires kids to develop a passion for engineering with a fun-filled, hands-on curriculum while enabling students to gain a tangible understanding of electrical hardware and software, mechanical engineering, and aerodynamic design as well as problem-solving & critical thinking skills. The excitement of building and flying a drone will inspire students to excel in future STEM careers. We guarantee your kid will not want to stop flying their drone!

Awesome Animal Science!

Kids will be blown away in this fun class as they get to experience up close some really cool animals including earth worms, silk worms, hamsters, baby chickens, live fish, hermit crabs, angel fish, lizards, turtles and more! We’ll investigate different animals from vertebrates to invertebrates and their habitats, adaptations, and behavior as well other zoology and mammalian biology. We’ll learn about warm-blooded vs cold-blooded animals, herbivore vs carnivore, predator vs prey, as well as survival of the fittest and extinction. In our Animal Habitat lesson, students will learn about different habitat and build a shoebox habitat. In our Bird lesson, students learn about the many different types of bird nests and why not all nests are in trees. As they think about the reasons for these differences, they’ll work in teams to build their own model bird nest using natural materials. Kids will have fun building their own bird feeder from craft and recycled materials. These feeders can then be used for experiments to see what kinds of birds are in the local area and what types of food they prefer. Students will also learn about bird migration and how the seasons and ecosystems influence their migration. During our Fish lesson, we’ll learn what keeps fish from sinking and their special organ (fish's "swim bladder") that fills with gas and provides natural buoyancy in the water. Kids will build an artificial swim bladder to see how it actually works to keep fish from sinking! In our Insect lesson, students learn about insect adaptations and will invent their own new insects designed to live in a specific environment. We’ll go hunting for different insects in the garden as well as study their antennae, eyes, legs and wings under a microscope! In our Chicken lesson, students find out how a baby chicken can breathe as it develops in an egg. We’ll investigate how animals that develop in eggs outside of a mother's body take in oxygen by performing an experiment. We'll follow the progress of chicken eggs in our incubator to witness eggs hatching into baby chicks! We’ll cover many more lessons in animal science and also discuss about cats and dogs and any other pets that kids have at home. Come and join us for some fun animal cuddling & learning!
